TODAY’S SPECIAL: “An Air Funny”
A minister introduced a number of improvements in his church, including hot air dryers in the wash rooms.

INTRODUCTION Today’s Special: “A Squirrel Funny”
A small town had three churches — and all three were virtually overrun with pesky squirrels.
The first church called a meeting to decide what to do about the squirrels. After much prayer and consideration they determined that God must have wanted the squirrels there, and the church shouldn’t interfere with God’s divine will.
The second church decided that they were not in a position to harm any of God’s creations, so they humanely trapped the squirrels and set them free a few miles outside of town. Three days later, the squirrels were back.
The third church came up with the best and most effective solution: they baptized the squirrels and registered them as members of the church. Now they only see them on Christmas and Easter.

INTRODUCTION Today’s Special: “Cat Got Your Tongue?”
“Jenny!” screamed her mother, “why are you feeding birdseed to the cat?”
“I have to,” Jenny replied. “That’s where my canary is.”

Christmas is a time to go home. For many of you, this may be the major time of the year to get together with family that perhaps you haven’t seen since last Christmas. 20 years ago, we took a plane trip home from Florida the day before Christmas. We were in 3 different terminals during our journey, and in each terminal, there were wild greetings and expressions of joy like I had never noticed before. Going home. Today’s passage talks about going home. Jesus went home. Let’s see to where. PRAYER
