Today’s “Special”: “Some Christmas leftovers”:
Christmas is weird. What other time of the year do you sit in front of a dead tree and eat candy out of your socks?
The 4 stages of man: He believes in Santa Claus; He doesn’t believe in Santa Claus; He is Santa Claus; He looks like Santa Claus
They announced that in Minnesota they found a mass grave of snowmen. Turned out just to be a field of carrots.

“MY GOODNESS!” (Ex. 33:12-33 and others)

“MY GOODNESS !”
Verse of 2017 – Part 5 January 29, 2017 Rev. Jeremy B. Stopford, Pastor

INTRODUCTION. “Today’s Special”: “A Plaque Funny” One year on Boss’s Day, the workers got together and bought a beautiful small, engraved plaque telling their boss they appreciated his leadership. At the bottom of the plaque was engraved a scripture reference. He went to his Bible to look it up.
What they intended was 1 Thessalonians 1:3, “We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
What the engraver put instead was 1 Thess. 3:1, which reads “So when we could stand it no longer, we thought it best to be left by ourselves…”. Oops!

The policeman said, “Hey there, I thought I told you to take that chimp to the zoo!” The boy answered, “I did! Today I’m taking him to the movies.”

INTRODUCTION. “Today’s Special”: “The Smith’s 2 Sons”
Mr. and Mrs. Smith had two sons. One was named Mind Your Own Business & the other was named Trouble. One day the two boys decided to play hide and seek. Trouble hid while Mind Your Own Business counted to one hundred. Mind Your Own Business began looking for his brother behind garbage cans and bushes. Then he started looking in and under cars until a police man approached him and asked, “What are you doing?” “Playing a game,” the boy replied. “What is your name?” the officer questioned. “Mind Your Own Business.” Furious the policeman inquired, “Are you looking for trouble?!” The boy replied, “Why, yes.”
